Coronavirus update: NHS Grampian area sees decrease in cases

In Scotland in the last 24 hours there have been a total of 1464 positive cases of coronavirus (1735 yesterday) which equates to 10.3 per cent of those tested overall.

Amongst these newly reported cases NHS Greater Glasgow recorded 338 cases and NHS Lothian 346 cases.

NHS Grampian saw 101 (131) new cases while NHS Highland recorded 65 (85) new cases.

For the seven days to July 18 NHS Grampian recorded 1208 cases, taking the total in the area to since the start of the pandemic to 21,890.

In the seven days to July 16 there were 467 new cases in Aberdeenshire (178.8 per 100,000), 558 in Aberdeen City (244.0 per 100,000) and in Moray 176 (183.7 per 100,000).

No new deaths were recorded in Scotland with Covid-19 in the last 24 hours.

To date in Scotland more than 3,981,950 people have received the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccination and over 2,978,746 people have received their second dose.
