Coronavirus update: Low cases numbers continue to be recorded

In Scotland in the last 24 hours there have been a total of 231 positive cases which equates to 1.1 per cent of those tested overall.

NHS Greater Glasgow saw 64 cases and NHS Lanarkshire 42 and NHS Lothian 34.

NHS Grampian reported 21 new cases while NHS Highland recorded two cases.

In the seven days to April 18 there were 39 new cases in Aberdeenshire (14.9 per 100,000), 60 in Aberdeen City (26.2 per 100,000) and 23 in Moray (24.0 per 100,000).

Three further deaths have been recorded in Scotland with Covid-19 confirmed in the last 24 hours.

To date in Scotland over 2,755,175 people have received the first dose of the Covid vaccination and over 898,200 people have received their second dose.
