Coronavirus update: Issues in reporting cases resolved

In Scotland in the last 24 hours there have been a total of 3598 positive cases of coronavirus which equates to 7.8 per cent of those tested overall.

Amongst these newly reported cases NHS Greater Glasgow recorded 875 cases and NHS Lothian 454 cases.

NHS Grampian saw 301 cases while NHS Highland recorded 137 cases.

No issues in reporting were highlighted by Public Health Scotland in today's figures.

In the seven days to September 19, Aberdeenshire saw 1204 cases (461.7 per 100,000), Aberdeen City 895 (390.7 per 100,000) and Moray 196 (204.8 per 100,000).

31 new deaths have been recorded in Scotland with Covid-19 in the last 24 hours.

Areas which are showing high number of cases in Aberdeenshire include Blackburn; Peterhead; Kintore and Turriff.

To date in Scotland more than 4,163,235 people have received the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccination and over 3,815,907 people have received their second dose.
