Coronavirus update: Further rise in national totals reflected in the north-east

In Scotland in the last 24 hours there have been a total of 8495 positive cases of coronavirus from PCR and LFD testing.

NHS Glasgow recorded 952 positive PCR tests and NHS Lothian 935.

NHS Grampian saw 576 while NHS Highland recorded 291 positive PCR tests.

In the seven days to January 14 , Aberdeenshire saw 1339 positive tests (513.5 per 100,000), Aberdeen City 1322 (577.1 per 100,000) and Moray 432 (451.4 per 100,000).

29 new deaths were recorded in Scotland with Covid-19 in the last 24 hours.

To date in Scotland more than 4,401,876 people have received the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccination and over 4,092,558 people have received their second dose with 3,223,113 having had a third or booster dose.
