Coronavirus update: Focus of NHS Grampian cases continues to be on Moray

In Scotland in the last 24 hours there have been a total of 354 positive cases of coronavirus which equates to 1.5 per cent of those tested overall.

NHS Greater Glasgow saw 141 cases, NHS Lanarkshire 51 and NHS Lothian 40.

NHS Grampian reported 27 new cases while NHS Highland recorded five cases.

In the seven days to May 9 there were 29 new cases in Aberdeenshire (11.1 per 100,000), 47 in Aberdeen City (20.6 per 100,000) and 96 in Moray (100.2 per 100,000).

The areas in Moray showing the highest case numbers are Keith and Elgin, North Speyside and Lossiemouth.

No deaths have been recorded in Scotland with Covid-19 in the last 24 hours.

To date in Scotland more than 2,948,604 people have received the first dose of the Covid vaccination and over 1,526,889 people have received their second dose.
