Coronavirus update: Fall in overall cases is being sustained across the north-east

In Scotland in the last 24 hours there have been a total of 799 positive cases of coronavirus which equates to 6.5 per cent of those tested overall.

Amongst these newly reported cases NHS Greater Glasgow recorded 185 cases and NHS Lothian 166 cases.

NHS Grampian saw 64 new cases while NHS Highland recorded 22 new cases.

In the seven days to July 30 there were 240 new cases in Aberdeenshire (92.0 per 100,000), 323 in Aberdeen City (141.0 per 100,000) and in Moray 84 (87.8 per 100,000).

One new death has been recorded in Scotland with Covid-19 in the last 24 hours.

In Aberdeenshire the majority of cases are still centred around Fraserburgh with smaller clusters remaining in Westhill and Stonehaven.

To date in Scotland more than 4,012,496 people have received the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccination and over 3,1214,801 people have received their second dose.
