Coronavirus update: Escalating city cases drive up NHS Grampian figures

In Scotland in the last 24 hours there have been a total of 1129 positive cases of coronavirus which equates to 3.4 per cent of those tested overall.

NHS Greater Glasgow saw 245 cases, NHS Tayside 104 and NHS Lothian 286 .

NHS Grampian saw 61 new cases while NHS Highland recorded 39 new cases.

In the seven days to June 13 there were 64 new cases in Aberdeenshire (24.5 per 100,000), 191 in Aberdeen City (83.5 per 100,000) and 10 in Moray (10.4 per 100,000).

One new death was recorded in Scotland with Covid-19 in the last 24 hours.

To date in Scotland more than 3,551,739 people have received the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccination and over 2,493,350 people have received their second dose.
