Coronavirus update: Daily cases remain static locally and rise nationally

In Scotland in the last 24 hours there have been a total of 2666 positive cases of coronavirus which equates to 10 per cent of those tested overall.

Amongst these newly reported cases NHS Greater Glasgow recorded 460 cases and NHS Lothian 431 cases.

NHS Grampian saw 226 cases while NHS Highland recorded 103 cases.

In the seven days to October 14, Aberdeenshire saw 983 cases (376.9 per 100,000), Aberdeen City 599 (261.5 per 100,000) and Moray 313 (327.0 per 100,000).

Two new deaths were recorded in Scotland with Covid-19 in the last 24 hours, noting that register offices are generally closed at weekends

To date in Scotland more than 4,286,044 people have received the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccination and over 3,877,849 people have received their second dose.
