Coronavirus update: Cases remain high in several areas of the north-east

In Scotland in the last 24 hours there have been a total of 2513 positive cases of coronavirus which equates to 9.6 per cent of those tested overall.

Amongst these newly reported cases NHS Greater Glasgow recorded 454 cases and NHS Lothian 392 cases.

NHS Grampian saw 280 cases while NHS Highland recorded 144 cases.

In the seven days to October 28, Aberdeenshire saw 1198 cases (459.4 per 100,000), Aberdeen City 764 (333.5 per 100,000) and Moray 295 (308.2 per 100,000).

No new deaths recorded in Scotland with Covid-19 in the last 24 hours due to registrar closures.

To date in Scotland more than 4,317,601 people have received the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccination and over 3,907,056 people have received their second dose.
