Coronavirus update: Cases creep up across Scotland

In Scotland in the last 24 hours there have been a total of 7315 positive cases of coronavirus recorded from PCR and LFD testing.

NHS Glasgow recorded 1592 combined tests and NHS Lothian 1358.

NHS Grampian saw 696 while NHS Highland recorded 427 positive tests in total.

31 new deaths were recorded with Covid-19 in the last 24 hours.

In the seven days to April 3, Aberdeenshire saw 2271 positive tests (870.8 per 100,000), Aberdeen City 1766 (771.0 per 100,000) and Moray 880 (919.4 per 100,000).

To date in Scotland more than 4,365,478 people have received the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccination and over 4,096,193 people have received their second dose with 3,456,388 having had a third or booster dose.

Over 121,400 people have now received their fourth dose.
