Coronavirus update: Cases continue to show a slow upward rise

In Scotland in the last 24 hours there have been a total of 974 positive cases of coronavirus which equates to 5.0 per cent of those tested overall.

NHS Greater Glasgow saw 277 cases, NHS Tayside 118 and NHS Lothian 210 .

NHS Grampian saw 43 new cases while NHS Highland recorded 8 new cases.

In the seven days to June 12 there were 68 new cases in Aberdeenshire (26.0 per 100,000), 156 in Aberdeen City (68.2 per 100,000) and 9 in Moray (9.4 per 100,000).

Two new deaths were recorded in Scotland with Covid-19 in the last 24 hours.

To date in Scotland more than 3,531,461 people have received the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccination and over 2,470,181 people have received their second dose.
