Coronavirus update: 2500 cases recorded in Aberdeenshire this week

In Scotland in the last 24 hours there have been a total of 8725 positive cases of coronavirus recorded from PCR and LFD testing.

NHS Glasgow recorded 1,878 combined tests and NHS Lothian 1,295.

NHS Grampian saw 896 while NHS Highland recorded 591 positive tests in total.

20 new deaths recorded with Covid-19 in the last 24 hours.

In the seven days to February 27 Aberdeenshire saw 2,568 positive tests (984.7 per 100,000), Aberdeen City 1790 (781.5 per 100,000) and Moray 830 (867.2 per 100,000).

To date in Scotland more than 4,436,867 people have received the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccination and over 4,158,818 people have received their second dose with 3,437,398 having had a third or booster dose.
