Community and Blue Light Gala to be held at Banff Castle
Banff Castle is set to hold another first for the venue – the Banff Community and Blue Light Gala.
The purpose of the event on Saturday, August 19 from 10am-4pm is to raise awareness and promote the local emergency services.
This will include police, fire brigade, HM Coastguard, RNLI, Search and Rescue Dogs, Scottish Ambulance Service and more.
Project development, events and castle administrator Carolyn Warne said: "Also in attendance will be many charity organisations and groups who will be on hand to offer help and advice.
"There’ll be lots of opportunity to find out more about becoming a volunteer for one of the many worthwhile causes.
"The Castle is also delighted to have Morayvia coming along on the day who are bringing one of their treasured cockpits with them – a Jet Provost T Mk4, which the was the basic trainer plane for the RAF in the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s.
"With entertainment for younger children, a variety of craft stalls, live music, delicious catering from The Big Orange and the Banff Castle Garden Coffee House it promises to be a fun and informative day."
The event is sponsored by John Watt and Macduff Shipyards.
