Comedian Katherine Ryan announces Aberdeen tour date

Award-winning comedian, writer, presenter and actress Katherine Ryan is heading to Aberdeen’s Music Hall with her brand new show.

Star of UKTV’s hugely popular new series Parental Guidance as well as Comedy Central’s upcoming Out of Order with Rosie Jones and Judi Love, TV’s beloved Katherine Ryan makes a hugely welcome return to the stage with her brand-new live show, Battleaxe, which will embark on a major UK and European tour in 2024 and 2025, including an eagerly anticipated return to Aberdeen’s Music Hall next year.

She will visit the Granite City on Wednesday, March 19, 2025, with tickets on sale from Friday, March 1 at 10am via www.aberdeenperformingarts.com or call 01224 641122.

Katherine is the creator and star of Netflix’s smash hit The Duchess along with two global Netflix comedy specials: In Trouble and Glitter Room as well as 2022’s Missus on Sky/Now TV.

She also hosted Backstage With Katherine Ryan for Amazon Prime and starred in Sky’s Romantic Getaway with Romesh Ranganathan.

Katherine is at the top of her game and Battleaxe brings her back out on tour after the sell-out international smash hit Missus ended its year-long run in 2022.

Katherine’s four part flagship series for W – Parental Guidance – is airing now to rave reviews. Out of Order for Comedy Central comes out on February 26 with Katherine as a team captain alongside host Rosie Jones and Judi Love.

In addition to her regular appearances on all the major British panel shows, Katherine’s upcoming flagship comedy travel show with Joe Wilkinson for Channel 4 will air later this year.

In 2023, she starred in the Sky Original comedy series, Romantic Getaway, with Romesh Ranganathan, as well as The Lionesses: A League of Their Own special with Jill Scott and Maisie Adam.

She also surprised the nation with her performance on The Masked Singer as the much loved Pigeon.

In 2022, Katherine hosted her own hilarious six-part global flagship series for Amazon Prime - Backstage with Katherine Ryan.

She has also hosted two series of the hit prime time BBC Two jewellery-making competition series All That Glitters.

Her latest comedy special, Missus, aired on Sky Comedy in late 2022 to huge acclaim.

Her debut sitcom The Duchess - which she wrote, executive produced and starred in - leapt to the top of the UK Netflix chart on its release.

She was also only the second UK-based comedian to get a Netflix Global comedy special after Jimmy Carr and the first woman (2017’s In Trouble). Her second special Glitter Room also sits on the platform.

Her debut book The Audacity was published by Bonnier and went straight into the Sunday Times Bestseller list.

Her hit podcast Telling Everybody Everything frequently tops the podcast charts and is hosted by market-leader Acast.
