THE Friends of Jubilee Hospital have invited the Huntly community to come along to their sale and coffee morning.

And those keen to donate items to be sold at the event have been encouraged to do so.

The Rumble in the Jumble, at the Stewart's Hall on Saturday, January 6 between 9.30am and 11.45am, is the final event before the charity's Grand Raffle is drawn in March.

Fancy pieces, coffee and tea will be on offer, with tickets to the sale costing £5 including a book of entries to March's raffle.

Launched last April, the Grand Raffle's prize-list has been growing continuously on the back of donations from local businesses.

Cash raised from both Rumble in the Jumble and the Grand Raffle will support the Jubilee Hospital – in particular the Rothieden palliative care ward, which the group raised cash to have built.

Friends of Jubilee Hospital chairperson Fiona Murray said: "We shall continue to sell our Grand Raffle tickets, the draw being held at the Farmers’ Market on Saturday, March 2.

"This the last chance to win some fantastic prizes all donated by Huntly and District businesses.

"We are hoping that after the festive period, the good folks of Huntly will turn out for a bargain at our Jumble Sale and enjoy a coffee and fine piece at the same time.

"Any items for the jumble can be dropped off at 23 Upper Kirkgate or by calling: 01466 793396."
