Climate Week North East returns to inspire action for a sustainable future in Scotland

Climate Week North East kicks off tomorrow, March 18, with an array of activities to engage individuals and communities with the environment.

Running until March 27, Climate Week North East encourages communities to think about climate change on a local level and take action to create a sustainable future.

Some of the local events include:

March 19 - tree planting in Newburgh and Pitmedden

March 20 - Foraging walk in Inverurie.

March 22 - Thing Are Heating Up at Macduff Marine Aquarium.

March 23 - Home Retrofit project update at Daviot and a tree identification workshop at Den Wood.

March 26 - Eco fair in Monymusk and Going Zero Waste in Pitmedden.

This year's event boasts a selection of in person and online events, with online offerings including sessions on gardening, sustainable agriculture, active travel and energy efficiency in the home.
