North-east charity Clan Cancer Support will be putting fashion into fundraising this spring when it hosts its very first Clan North Catwalk Show.

The fashion show will take place at Peterhead Leisure and Community Centre Theatre on April 23 at 7pm.

The models for the event will be made up of Clan clients, staff and volunteers who will be hitting the runway in the latest fashions from Peterhead ladies boutique Blush And Blu and clothing from the new Clan Cancer support retail shop which opens in Peterhead in April.

Other local organisations gifting their time and skills to support the show include Nescol fashion students, Make up by Morgan and hair by Emily and Paul of The Gym, Aberdeen.

Mainland community development manager Alana Welsh said: “Our first Clan North Catwalk Show is all about engaging with the local community in Crimond but also gives us the opportunity to raise funds to help support those affected by a cancer diagnosis in the North-east.

"Our new Peterhead Clan retail shop opens in April so it’s great to be able to promote the opening of the shop and show off the offerings we will have and build community recognition of the local Crimond Clan support centre.

"The support centre is there to provide emotional and practical support to anyone affected by a cancer diagnosis.

“We are looking forward to a fun-packed evening.

"There will be an arrival drink included in the ticket prices, raffles, games and much more.

There will also be an opportunity to buy the clothing on show and refreshments at the end.”
