Victoria Maclachlan, outreach initiative specialist, said: "Our Countrymen UK open afternoon is open to all who would like to learn more about our project.

"That could be potential countrymen, carers, family of prospective club members, or people who work in health and social care settings.

"This open afternoon will give people the chance to see the facilities at Touchdown Memorial Home for Horses, see some of the activities we are planning for the countrymen, and meet the team who will be able to answer any questions.

"We have a large outdoor space which we can utilise so social distancing will be adhered to, and hand washing and sanitising facilities will be available.

"If we could ask people who are interested in coming along to get in touch so we have a rough idea of the numbers of attendees – so we do not run out of homebakes!"
