Scottish SPCA appeal for food for cats in Aberdeenshire

The Scottish SPCA is appealing to cat lovers in Scotland to donate much needed food to its Aberdeenshire Animal Rescue and Rehoming Centre.

Scotland's animal welfare charity is currently running very low on essential food to feed some of its hungry residents.

A full list of what the centre is in need of can be found on its Amazon wishlist, however items do not need to be purchased directly from Amazon.

If preferred, donations can be purchased from another online site and delivered to the centre.

Centre manager Louise Griese said: “We are appealing for donations of essential food for the cats in our care.

“We are in desperate need of Applaws wet cat food for senior cats, Royal Canin sensitivity cat food, James Wellbeloved complete dry kitten food, and Whiskas kitten pouches in jelly.

“Due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic we are still closed to the public but we can accept donations sent directly to us from Amazon or any other online retailer with a delivery service.

“We know that times are uncertain but if anyone could kindly help with food for these felines we would appreciate anything people can spare.

“We are so grateful for your support so that we can continue to provide the best possible care for the animals at our centre.”
