Next Saturday's (October 28) open day for Gordon Rural Action's (GRA) Baby Bank will bring a wealth of vital items for little ones to the Stewart's Hall – offered up to anyone who needs it.

Running from 10am-1pm, all items in the main hall will be available for free, including children clothes up to age 8, prams, highchairs, bottles, moses baskets and more.

Along with the main Baby Bank giveaway, a toy sale in the hall's smaller room will allow members of the public to rent a table for £10 to sell off their own items.

Kayleigh Nicholls, from GRA, said the event was set up to build on last year's successful open day.

Expensive items including cots were on offer at the last open day.

"The feedback we got from the last event was fantastic and we helped a lot of families get the baby items they needed especially when it came to stocking up on clothes," she said.

"Not only is this a way to save money but recycling and reusing items saves them from going to landfill and makes a big impact on our carbon footprint.

"This event is open to anyone and everyone is welcome, all we ask is that none of the items are sold on and if they are still in a good condition we would love them to be donated back to us.

"Everything in the main hall is free.

"We will be giving away baby items to anyone who needs them, this includes clothing for children up to 8 years, equipment such as prams, Highchairs, bottles, Moses baskets and much more.

"We are also taking donations at our offices at 55 Gordon street Huntly, weekdays between 10am - 2pm.

"A huge thank you to everyone who donates their items to us and supports their local community."

Ms Nicholls also encouraged anybody needing baby items before the open day to request them by filling out a form on the GRA website.
