A fundraising group has handed over £500 to an Inverurie care home.

The Auld Golfers of Inverurie Travelling Society (better known as The Auld GITS of Inverurie) visited Bennachie View Care Home last week to hand over a cheque for their amenity fund.

Manager Johnny Smith has expressed his gratitude to the group for this generous donation of £500, which will be used to provide a wide range of entertainment and crafts supplies for the residents over Christmas, Burns Night and Valentine's Day.

The fundraisers originally formed as a group of friends who wanted to raise funds for the golf club however their fund raising whisky nights and extravaganzas now reach beyond this to support other local charities, and Bennachie View greatly appreciates benefitting from these generous locals.
