CARE home residents in Huntly did not miss out on a Burns day celebration, despite Covid restrictions.
Traditional meals were served up and over a busy few days, teams of dancers from both the Jessiman and Brenda Gordon Schools provided entertainment at Scott’s Hospital, the Meadows and Balhousie Care Home.
Pipers Moby Knight and Sarah Reid played.
Jim Massie gave the Address to the Haggis at Scott’s.
At the Meadows, the piper played as the haggis was carried through both the Isla and Kirkney wings to the dining room where a video of the Address to the Haggis was played.
Activities coordinator Lauren McKandie who made the arrangements said: “We were really pleased to be able to
do something for our residents on Burns day.”
Andrew Chalmers-Gall, interim manager at Balhousie Huntly, said: “Burns Night was a real group effort, with both residents and staff doing the honours with the haggis. It was a lovely community effort, thank you to everyone who came along and made it a great night for everyone.”
