A LOCAL care home operator is in the running for four national awards.

Parklands Care Homes is a multiple finalist in this year’s Care Home Awards, due to take place in London in September.

The awards, hosted by broadcaster Alan Dedicoat, are the biggest and most prestigious in the care sector.

The group has been nominated for Best Response to Covid-19, Best for Communication and Best Smaller Care Home Group (up to 25 homes), while Parklands-operated Innis Mhor Care Home in Tain has been shortlisted for the Best for Sporting, Social or Leisure Activities.

Parklands won both the communication and best small care home group awards last year.

Managing Director Ron Taylor said: “After our success in last year’s awards, we are absolutely thrilled to be finalists again this year, in no less than four categories.

"This is entirely due to the hard work and dedication of our teams who have endured a difficult year with grace and humility.

“The Care Home Awards are a tremendous showcase for the care sector. It doesn’t matter who wins – the important point is that hard-working individuals and teams up and down the country get the recognition they deserve.”
