Cannabis biker stopped on the A96 in Moray
A motorcyclist has admitted riding his bike on Moray's busiest road while under the influence of cannabis.
Declan Hunter also admitted being in possession of the drug, in addition to having no insurance.
The 26-year-old was stopped by police on the A96 between Fochabers and Keith on January 20 last year.
Officers carried out a test to measure the amount of cannabis in his system.
This recorded a reading three times higher than the level at which the ability to drive is impaired.
The case at Elgin Sheriff Court was adjourned to a later date to give social workers the chance to compile a report ahead of sentencing.
Sheriff David Harvie told Hunter, of Waulkmill Grove, Elgin, to co-operate fully.
The sheriff said: "It's your opportunity to explain the background to this incident and pass on any other information that might be relevant to the court."
A driving ban was imposed in the meantime.
