Cancellations to rail services between Aberdeen and Inverurie after line is blocked

Due to an obstruction on the track between Dyce and Inverurie all train lines are closed and disruption is expected until early afternoon.

At present train services between Aberdeen and Inverurie will be cancelled, delayed or revised.

Customer Advice published by ScotRail is as follows -

Option 1- Check if a rail journey is currently possible.

* Use the National Rail Enquiries real-time journey planner to check if a journey by rail is currently possible.

Option 2 - Alternative Routes & Local Public Transport.

* If you have had to drive to another station your ticket will be valid to collect your car on your return journey. Speak to a member of staff to validate your ticket.

* We have arranged for your rail tickets to be accepted on local bus routes at no extra cost.

* Please note Insch is not covered by local bus agreements.

Option 3 - Rail Replacement Transport.

* We have requested replacement transport but we have nothing confirmed at the moment. Customers may wish to look at alternative arrangements at present.

Option 4 - Consider travelling later..

* You might wish to consider postponing your journey until our services return to normal.
