Police in Buckie are asking for the help of parents and guardians of teenagers following complaints about large numbers of youths gathering in the town.

The force lists the sites where problems have occurred as Linzee Gordon Park, near Buckie High School and beside Victoria Bowling Club.

A spokesperson said: "In recent weeks a number of youths have been dealt with in relation to underage drinking, drug use and antisocial behaviour.

"Adults are being asked to be aware of what their children are doing outside the home.

"Teenagers are reminded that they should not gather in large groups or conduct themselves in an antisocial manner.

"Directed patrols are taking place in the area."
