Buckie care home resident celebrates 100th birthday

A BUCKIE care home resident celebrated a century of life in style with a limousine trip and afternoon tea.

May Anderson, a resident at Parklands and Burnbank Care Home, celebrated her 100th birthday on Friday, August 25.

After receiving a card from King Charles III, she was joined by friends and family at Mill House Hotel, near Buckie, for an afternoon tea.

May arrived at the venue in style, whisked from the care home to the hotel in a limo.

Care home activities coordinator Lisa Toogood said: “It was a lovely occasion and May was delighted to spend the day with her family and friends.

"She was so pleased to have received a birthday greeting from His Majesty The King. It was a perfect day."
