Courts in Moray:- Breath test run-in leads to ban

A Moray woman has been banned from the roads after she failed to co-operate properly with a breath test.
Police received a call at 5pm on February 8.
Witnesses in a parked-up caravan had become concerned by the way a car was being driven on Port Long Road in Cullen.
They had approached the driver but she had headed off.
The police acted to establish who was the registered keeper of the vehicle.
Officers then went to the home of Susan Reid in North Deskford Street, Cullen.
Elgin Sheriff Court heard that the police found the defendant sat in the car.
Highly agitated, she refused to exit the vehicle and instead climbed into the back seat.
The court also heard that she began to shout and swear at the officers.
Eventually she was taken to Forres Police Station for a breath test.
Although she complied with the first stage of the test, Reid failed on three separate occasions to complete the second stage despite being warned of the consequences.
The 54-year-old admitted a charge of shouting, swearing, uttering violent threats and behaving in a threatening manner.
Defence solicitor Iain Maltman said his client was effected by health problems and had been suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder.
He also expressed her apologies to both the court and the police officers.
Sheriff Peter Grant-Hutchison imposed a 12-month ban and a £200 fine.
