Breaking news: RTC closes A947 near Newmachar

Drivers are advised that the A947 is currently closed between Newmachar and Whiterashes after a serious two vehicle RTC at Whiterashes as of 3pm.

Two units from Scottish Fire and Rescue are currently attending along with other emergency services and road users are asked to find an alternative route.

4pm update: For vehicles travelling north/west from Aberdeen, the road is closed on the A947 at Newmacher at its junction with the B979.

For vehicles travelling south/east from Oldmeldrum, the road is closed on the A947 just south of Whiterashes at its junction with the B993.
