Applications have opened to be part of North East Open Studios 2021.

North East Open Studios, known as NEOS, is the biggest open studio event in Scotland and sees artists and makers across the north-east of Scotland - from Montrose to Inverness - open their space to the public to share their creations and let people in on some of the behind the scenes magic.

This year's event will run from September 11-19, and is anticipated to be a physical event assuming restrictions allow.

As well as being part of NEOS 2021 becoming a member means you have an annual entry in the year round Artists And Makers Book and are part of a huge collective of creatives.

Around 29,000 copies of the directory are distributed widely across the area.

In addition, the NEOS Committee ensures that the book is available in art galleries, tourist information offices, libraries and at major art events.

There is also an online version with search facilities, which makes your entry more accessible to our enquiring public.

The closing dates for NEOS 2021 are as follows:

  • out of area applications - March 14.
  • new groups - March 21.
  • all other applications - March 31.

Before applying you should ensure to read the artist sign up information, and can begin your application by clicking the red box in the top corner of the screen.
