SALES from a newly-released book are helping raise supplies for Huntly Foodbank.

George Mackie's Eyes To The Ground, a football picture book documenting Huntly's away trips in the Highland League, is set to be released this month.

A cut of every pre-order of the book has gone towards the food bank, and Mr Mackie handed over six carrier bags full of supplies this week.

Mr Mackie, who is Huntly FC's official club photographer, said: "I would just like to thank people for their pledges, allowing us to make a donation of items requested by the Huntly Foodbank.

"I handed over six bags of a few trays of stuff to the foodbank, but we also managed to add some frisbees, colouring books, pens, bubbles and footballs."

Copies of Eyes To The Ground can still be ordered by emailing gmackie1903@gmail.com.

Ten per cent of each purchase will go towards the food bank.
