Body found in search for missing Tarves woman

North East Police Division have confirmed in a statement that: "Around 10am this morning, Saturday, June, 25, the body of a woman was found by officers in a secluded area near to Tarves, Aberdeenshire.

"Formal identification has still to take place but the family of Ruth Watt, who has been missing from the area since 21 June have been informed.

​"The death is not being treated as suspicious and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal."
