Big Sing fills Inverurie with festive carols

JOYOUS carol singing filled the West Parish Church on Saturday at an event which lived up to its name - The Big Sing.

It was the first time the West Church has played host to the event, previously held outdoors in the square but the indoor venue was the sensible alternative this year.

Strathburn primary 5 -7's, festively attired with Santa hats, reindeer horns and sparkly tops sang their hearts out with a repertoire of carols old favourites and new.

The youngsters were orchestrated by Ruth Simpson who retired from Strathburn after 25 years service but keeps up her music interests.

The well-attended gathering were invited to join in the familiar Christmas songs
