The Bailies of Bennachie group has launched its photography competition for images to feature in its 2022 calendar.

The photos will be shortlisted with 30 going forward to a public vote on Facebook and the conservation group's website.

The calendar is a fundraiser for the Bailies of Bennachie and all profits from sales will go to help their activities.

Outreach officer for the group Fiona Cormack said: “Bennachie is a beautiful hill range and is a constant inspiration for photographers.

"We held an online competition for this year’s calendar and were blown away with the quality of photographs submitted.

The Bailies of Bennachie's 2021 calendar photography competition proved very popular and the group has launched its 2022 contest.

"The calendar is a major fundraising event for us and the 2021 one was a sell out. Following that success we plan to repeat the format for next year.

“Photographs should be taken of or on the hill and need to be of landscape format. As the winning pictures will be published in our calendar high resolution photos of at least 8mb are suitable for consideration.

"Photos can be emailed to publications@bailiesofbennachie.co.uk

"The closing date for submissions is April 6."

“The 30 shortlisted photos will be on display on the website and Facebook and people can vote for their favourites by emailing votes or liking certain photos. The photographs will be displayed between April 12 and 20.

“Snowy photos are always popular but we are looking for photos from all seasons and the photographs will be shortlisted by season so we have a good spread of spring, summer, autumn and winter photographs.”
