Bon Accord baths was the subject of an entertaining and informative talk by the guest speaker, heritage consultant Ian Davidson, at last week's meeting of Garioch Heritage Society in Garioch Heritage Centre on Loco Works Road, Inverurie.

It struck a happy note with many of the audience who had learned to swim there and was followed by a lively question and answer session.

Throughout the meeting Ian took the group through the many stages of the Baths' development to the iconic landmark they became.

The vote of thanks was given by Joan Bruce.

The Society's next public meeting is on Wednesday November 2, when guest Des Byrne will talk about railway signalling and lamps.
