Banff woman becomes millionaire after scooping Bounty Competitions biggest prize

A Banff woman has become a millionaire after winning Bounty Competitions biggest ever prize.

Sheila Ross scooped £1 million in the prize draw which took place online on Thursday.

Her lucky entry was picked from the 142,000 tickets that were sold, with Mrs Ross buying two tickets at a total of £20.

She and her husband Martin were presented with their prize at her workplace on Thursday evening.

In the winning announcement posted on social media on Thursday Bounty Competitions said: "Sheila got the call just after 4pm today to say she became a millionaire.

"Sheila allowed us to go see her at her work which the reception from the local community and work friends was unlike anything we've seen before.

"We appreciate your participation and good spirit.

"Enjoy your retirement with your husband.

"All funds sent and another life changed.

"Congratulations and enjoy."
