Banff Castle will hold a special event on Saturday to unveil a commemorative plaque for its newly planted Coronation Tree.

Following the success of the community venue's launch event, which was a Coronation Festival back in May, the Lord Lieutenant of Banffshire Andrew Simpson has donated the plaque.

He commissioned Banff and Macduff Men's Shed to create it.

There will be an official unveiling by Mr Simpson during the family fun day.
