Members of 1st Banff Boys' Brigade who were recipients of Queen's Badges and the President's Badge have been presented with their awards.
A special ceremony was held in the town's Fife Lodge Hotel where the accolades were presented by Lord Lieutenant of Banffshire Andrew Simpson and Captain Ian Cameron.
These are the highest awards in the BB movement which the boys gained in the 2019/2020 session but the presentation was held over because of the restrictions imposed by the Covid-19 outbreak. The ceremony was also attended by family and friends.
The Queen's Badges were presented to Josh Buchan, Liam Cumming, Scott Graham, Kieran Ingram, Campbell McDermott, Brodie Smith and Euan Stevenson. Fraser McKenzie received the President's Badge.
Lord Lieutenant of Banffshire Andrew Simpson said: "Attaining the Queen's Badge and President's Badge is a remarkable achievement – not least against the challenging background of the pandemic.
"The success of the young men in gaining such awards demonstrates a wide range of skills that will equip them well for life in the workplace and the community. They are a credit to themselves, their families and to the Boys' Brigade.
"Thanks must also go to the officers of the local company for their support and hard work. I am delighted to add my congratulations for their fantastic success."
The group was also able to hold a presentation of badges and awards at a ceremony in the Boys' Brigade Hall on Seafield Street.
They were gained by the boys over the 2019/2020 period and should have been presented at the annual display last year but this was again postponed due to the Covid pandemic.
During this first evening together since last year the boys also enjoyed a series of games.
Over the winter period, although not meeting as a group, members have been involved in regular individual challenges in activities and crafts.
