Longmore Hall has received a £4000 cheque after getting nearly 46,000 votes in Tesco's Bags For Help scheme.

The cash will be used to renovate the dressing rooms behind the venue's stage.

Hall chairperson Rhona Paterson said: "We want to thank everyone in the community who used their blue tokens to vote for us when they were shopping.

"We're really appreciative of your support.

"We intend to update the dressing rooms now so that they become multi-purpose and can also be used for other things such as meetings."
Given the size of Keith and how much it is used by the community nowadays, Longmore Hall is run by a relatively small group of volunteers.

That team, who took over control from Moray Council last summer, is always on the lookout for more people to offer their time and services.

If you think you might be able help in any way at all, contact Rhona on 07974 778491.
