Bracoden Primary School has been recognised for its work planting 100 trees to mark The Queen's Platinum Jubilee.
The pupils and staff took part in The Queen's Green Canopy as part of the milestone celebrations.
During a special ceremony at the school, a plaque was unveiled and Lord Lieutenant of Banffshire Andrew Simpson presented the students with Junior Forester Awards, coins donated by the Royal Mint and a commemorative medallion.
The school completed the award with the assistance of Shirley Sutherland of Leafy Trails.
Mr Simpson said: "The pupils and staff of Bracoden Primary School are to be congratulated on the tremendous work they have done planting trees as part of The Queen's Green Canopy.
"As part of their Platinum Jubilee celebrations, it was a great pleasure to join them for the unveiling of a plaque and to present pupils with special Junior Forester Award certificates and coins donated by the Royal Mint.
"A special thanks to Mrs Sutherland of Leafy Trails for completing this award with the pupils.
"The trees will be a wonderful legacy for future generations of pupils. The commemorative medallion will be a reminder of this special weekend and the events marking The Queen's Platinum Jubilee."
