The Avril Williamson Top Scorer Award for 2021-2022 could not be presented as there are still two matches to play at the date of the awards and the top scorer is currently a tie between Greg Miazek and Michael Harris.
The Committee, therefore, decided to present the award to the top scorer from season 2019-2020 which was shut down in March 2020 due to the pandemic and no presentation night could be held.
That top scorer was Ewan Clark, better known to everyone as Kaka, who scored 24 goals that season including four in one match and four hat-tricks.
The award presentation was the first to be held since 2019 due to the pandemic and during that three year period several long term Thistle players decided to call it a day and hang up their boots.
The club's Jock Bell commented: "The Committee and Management offer their heartfelt thanks to the players for their commitment and loyalty to the club and their contribution to the success achieved over the past years and look forward to seeing them at the Haughs again for the annual Legends match."
Players included Steven Anderson, John Anderson, Phil Burnett, Clarke Morrison, Mark Robertson, Sean Smith, Chris Strachan and Daryn Bruce.
The evening was rounded off by a set from the champion of Doric Comedy, Wray Thomson.
Although the current season has yet to finish preparations are being made in respect of next season which is due to start on the first Saturday in August, this includes an open training session on Saturday, June 18 from 1.30pm to 3pm.
This session will be open to any players not currently signed with Turriff Thistle who may wish to sign for the Club for next season.
Saturday, June 25 sees the Turriff Thistle v Turriff Thistle Legends match at the Haughs (full details to be confirmed)
Turriff Thistle FC - Season 2022-2023 pre-season friendly programme starts on Wednesday, July 13 with a game against Huntly and further games planned against Newmachar, Echt, Deveronside, and Rattrays.
