One of Grampian Transport Museum’s most popular events is returning on Sunday, September 25.

The Autumn Autojumble and Car Boot Sale regularly fills the Alford based museum’s arena with dozens of optimistic sellers offering just about anything from their garage, shed or home to hundreds of excited buyers of things they sometimes never knew they needed!.

The Autumn Autojumble is eagerly anticipated and the museum’s events manager Derek Hart advises early applications for pitches to guarantee a place: “We have had great interest in this year’s Autojumble with entries coming in every day.

"It is one of our most popular events for serious collectors and families alike, with fascinating collections of parts for cars, motorcycles and machinery alongside collections of household and gardening items of every shape and size.

"There’s always a great atmosphere during the day with plenty of opportunities to find elusive parts or bag a bargain and of course everyone likes a good rummage, especially the youngsters at stalls where there are toys.

"The museum itself has a stall at which we offer for sale items we have collected but no longer need or where we have duplicates.

"Whilst we can’t guarantee you’ll find the exact part you might be seeking we can guarantee you’ll have fun looking for it!”.

The Autumn Autojumble sale will be held from 9am-3pm on Sunday, September 25 with catering also available.
