At least £1k of cash stolen in Keith break-in

Thieves have stolen at least £1000 in cash from a property near Keith.

The break-in occurred at Marypark, which lies a couple of miles to the south of the town, just off the main A96 road.

It's said to have happened at some point between 10am on Thursday, December, 28 and 9am today (Thursday, January 4).

Police have not revealed exactly how much cash was taken, beyond stating it was a "four-figure quantity".

PC Christopher MacKinnon said: "Our enquiries are ongoing. We are appealing for anyone who saw anything suspicious to contact us.

"I would also appeal to anyone who was in the area and who may have private CCTV or dash-cam footage which could assist us."
