Appeal launched to find Keith substation metal thieves

Police Scotland are appealing for information in relation to the theft of copper wire and scrap metal from the Keith area.

On Friday, July 14, about 8pm at the Blackhillock substation, Keith, scrap metal was stolen by two males.

A white Ford Transit style van was used to carry the metal.

On Sunday, July 23, about 3.10pm near to the Moray West substation site at Keith, a white Ford Transit van drove off after two males were disturbed attempting to steal copper wire.

During the incident, one of the van's doors had come off and was driven off towards the A96 without it.
