Appeal following serious road crash on A96 near Huntly

Police officers are appealing for information following a two car crash, which took place on the A96 yesterday (Tuesday,April 6).

The incident happened around 4.20pm near to Bainshole, Huntly, and involved a white Mercedes A200 and a grey Audi Q7.

As a result of the crash, the Mercedes driver, a 29-year-old man, was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

The driver of the Audi, a 50-year-old man, sustained minor injuries.

Constable Ian Lind said: "Our enquiries into the crash are ongoing and I would urge anyone who may have seen what happened, or saw the cars involved prior to the crash or earlier in the afternoon, to please get in touch.

"We are also asking anyone who may have been travelling in the area at the time in question and potentially has dashcam footage to please get in touch."

Anyone with information is asked to call Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident 2089 of 6 April.
