Police Scotland are appealing for information regarding various different incidents at the Ellon Castle Gardens.

On August 14, between 5pm and the following morning, a bench was extensively damaged by being thrown from the top of a nearby wall into the middle of the gardens.

On August 29, overnight, various plants and trees were damaged within the garden area.

These were ripped out and thrown around.

On August 31, between 2pm and 3pm, a padlock was removed from one of the garden gates, giving way to the compost area.

Persons also threw a stone through a pile of glass which was stored beside said gate.

During the morning of November 7, damage was caused to the shed located within the garden.

The padlock was broken and access gained, with paper towels being lit on fire and sweets from within removed and consumed.

Persons have also kicked chicken fencing in the nearby area, causing it to fall and break.

Ellon Castle Gardens is a Scottish Charity and run by volunteers from the local area who are dedicated to restoring the historic castle and its surrounding gardens.

It appears that these persons have set it as their target to destroy their efforts.

Anyone who may be able to assist with the investigation, please contact Police Constable Morrison A0283 via 101, quoting reference number CF0265171121.
