Road Policing officers in the north-east are appealing for witnesses following a fatal crash on the B9077.

The crash occurred around 12.40am on Sunday, September, 25 and involved a black Audi RS3.

Emergency services attended, however a 19-year-old man, a passenger in the car, was pronounced dead at the scene.

A 23-year-old man, the driver of the car, and a 22-year-old man, another passenger in the car, were taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary with minor injuries.

No other vehicles were involved.

The road remains closed between Kirkton House on the South Deeside Road and Leggart Terrace in Aberdeen while a full collision investigation is carried out.

Sergeant Lesley Morrison, of Elgin Road Policing Unit, said: “Our enquiries into the circumstances are ongoing and our thoughts are with the deceased’s family at this difficult time.

“I would urge anyone who witnessed the crash or saw the car prior to the incident to get in touch.”

Anyone with information should contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident 0176 of September, 25.
