Audacious thieves try to make off with Gator turf utility vehicle from Cullen Golf Club

Police are appealing for information following the theft of a Gator turf utility vehicle from Cullen Golf Club on Saturday, April 27.

Around 8.40pm, police were called after a member of the public spotted two men on the vehicle which was driven around the golf course causing damage across the greens. They then appear to deliberately drive through a fence in a bid to escape before dumping the vehicle on a nearby public footpath where it was recovered by police.

The suspects are described as male teenagers who were both wearing black clothing.

Constable Chris Mackinnon, Buckie Police Station, said: “This theft and vandalism have caused significant damage to the golf course which will cost a lot of money to repair. We are keen to hear from anyone who may have private CCTV from the area or if you saw the youths in the area to come forward. Any information that may assist in identifying the two suspects please call officers via 101 quoting incident number 3546 of Saturday, 27 April 2024. Alternatively, details can be given anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
