Appeal after attempted break-in at Fyvie farm

Police Scotland are appealing for witnesses following an attempted housebreaking at a Farm near Millbrex, Fyvie.

The incident occurred around 12.20 am, Wednesday, August 9.

The security of an outbuilding was overcome before the persons involved appear to leave after being startled by the farmers dog.

Anyone with information can contact the Police on 101 or via Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 quoting reference 0710 of 09/08/2023.

North East Crime Reduction Officer, PC Russell said ‘I would ask residents in the area and across our rural communities to remain vigilant following this incident.

"Please report any suspicious behaviour to Police immediately.

"Most break-ins are carried out by opportunist thieves – so take away the opportunity and keep your home and possessions safe."
