There were the serious antique collectors, hobby collectors, those who were seeking advice from the experts and the 'just looking'

Little boxes are the interest for serious collector Meg Smith of Leslie, near Insch and many of these wee treasures are the handiwork of husband Dave.

Her most spectacular is an intricately carved wooden jewellery box which her husband presented her with on the day daughter Abigail was born.

Meg also produces sparkling diamond paintings.

Like many creative artists she finds her work most therapeutic.

Fair organiser Suzanne Jones, herself a collector was well pleased with the number of visitors, especially on Sunday.

As a venue for such fairs Suzanne rates the centre 10 out of 10 and said: "We are particularly pleased with the subtle overhead lighting."

Already she is planning her next antiques fair which will take place on Saturday, June 11 and Sunday 12

She said : "It's a bit like painting the Forth brdge, as soon one fair is over, I'm on to the beginning of the next.
